PrimeFlow Notes and Stickers Nodes

Annotate a PrimeFlow canvas with Sticky Notes, Text Stickers, and Emoji Stickers.

PrimeFlow has three lightweight nodes built for annotating a canvas rather than representing records: Sticky Notes, Text Stickers, and Emoji Stickers. Use them to capture free-form ideas, label sections, highlight a corner of a map, or mark a node with a quick visual cue.

For the heavier rich documentation block, see PrimeFlow Documentation Node.

What you can do

Drop a Sticky Note

to capture a free-form idea with rich content, and convert it to a task when the idea becomes actionable.

Drop a Text Sticker

to label a section, a grouping, or a part of a map.

Drop an Emoji Sticker

for a visual cue - and stick it onto another node to mark, rate, or annotate that node.

Connect annotations

to other canvas nodes when the annotation needs to be linked to something specific.

Adjust size and appearance

so annotations fit the canvas theme.

Sticky Notes

How to add

  • From the Node Library - drag Sticky Note onto the canvas.
  • From the canvas right-click menu - choose Sticky Note.

What you can put on a sticky note

Sticky Notes support rich content:

  • Text with basic formatting
  • Bullet and numbered lists
  • Inline task checklists
  • Images
  • YouTube embeds (paste a link and it becomes a video)
  • Optional title

Double-click the note to edit inline. Click away to save.

Appearance

Sticky Notes come with color and size presets, and you can resize them. Appearance is canvas-only and does not affect anything outside the canvas.

Convert a sticky note to a task

Sticky Notes can be turned into a task in place. Converting creates a real task in PrimeTask and replaces the sticky with a Task node connected to the same spot on the canvas. See PrimeFlow Task Nodes.

Capture first, convert later

Use sticky notes during planning, then turn the ones worth tracking into real tasks.

Text Stickers

How to add

  • From the Node Library - drag Text Sticker onto the canvas.
  • From the canvas right-click menu - choose Text Sticker.

What Text Stickers are for

Text Stickers are minimal labels for signposting - a heading over a group of nodes, a label on a region of the canvas, a short call-out, a light call-and-response note. Use them when you want text without the weight of a sticky note.

Editing and formatting

Double-click to edit. A small inline toolbar lets you change size, toggle bold and underline, and choose alignment. Text Stickers can be resized to fit your layout.

Emoji Stickers

How to add

  • From the Node Library - drag Emoji Sticker onto the canvas.
  • From the canvas right-click menu - choose Emoji Sticker.

Change the emoji

Double-click the sticker to open the emoji picker. Search for an emoji or browse categories, and pick one. The sticker updates immediately.

Stick an emoji onto another node

Emoji Stickers can auto-attach to other nodes:

  • Drag an emoji over a node and release it - the emoji sticks to that node.
  • Move the host node - the attached emoji moves with it and stays in the same relative position.
  • Drag the emoji away - it detaches and becomes an independent sticker again.

Use this to tag a task with a reaction, flag a project, mark a milestone, rate a contact, or add a visual cue to anything on the canvas.

Resize

Emoji Stickers resize together with the node - the emoji scales with the sticker.

Use emojis as canvas cues

Stick a 🔥 on the priority task, a ⭐ on a standout project, a ⚠️ on a risk. It stays attached as you rearrange the canvas.

Connections

Sticky Notes, Text Stickers, and Emoji Stickers can connect to other nodes on the canvas when you want an annotation linked to something specific - a sticky note that explains a task, a text sticker that heads a group, an emoji that is attached to a whole region by a line.

For connection behavior, see PrimeFlow Connections and Edges.

Color theme support

All three annotation nodes follow the canvas color theme and any per-node appearance override. Appearance is canvas-only and does not change anything outside PrimeFlow.

See PrimeFlow Color Themes.

Things worth knowing

Annotations are canvas-only

Sticky Notes, Text Stickers, and Emoji Stickers aren't linked to tasks, projects, contacts, or any other record. They live on the canvas you placed them on.

Sticky Notes become real tasks when converted

Converting a sticky note creates a real task in PrimeTask. The sticky's content carries over.

Attached emojis follow the host

An emoji stuck to a node moves with the node. Drag it off to detach.

Free positioning

All three annotation nodes can be placed anywhere on a canvas. They don't follow the auto-layout unless selected along with other nodes.

Common questions

"What's the difference between a Sticky Note and a Text Sticker?"

A Sticky Note is a rich content block - lists, checklists, images, YouTube embeds, optional title. A Text Sticker is a lightweight label for headings, signposts, and short notes.

"Can I turn a Sticky Note into a task?"

Yes. Convert it in place. A Task node takes the sticky's spot on the canvas. See PrimeFlow Task Nodes.

"How do I change the emoji on a sticker?"

Double-click the emoji sticker to open the emoji picker.

"Can I resize annotations?"

Yes. All three types support resizing. The emoji scales with the sticker.

"If I move a node with an emoji stuck to it, does the emoji come along?"

Yes. The emoji stays in the same relative position as the host node. Drag the emoji off to detach.
