CRM Dashboard

The central hub for your contacts, companies, activities, CRM tasks, and the full sales and outreach toolset - everything CRM starts here.

The CRM Dashboard is the first thing you see when you open PrimeCRM. It gives you an at-a-glance summary of your entire CRM - how many contacts and companies you have, what's been happening this week, which tasks are pending - and provides quick access to every CRM page, tracker, and tool from one place.

The dashboard is designed as a launchpad, not a workspace. You come here to see the big picture, create something quickly, and click through to whichever page needs your attention. Inline editing, filtering, and bulk operations live on the dedicated list pages - the dashboard keeps things high-level on purpose.

PrimeCRM is a Pro feature

The CRM Dashboard and everything it links to requires a Pro license. To upgrade, see License Settings. For the full CRM feature map, see PrimeCRM Overview.

  • Sidebar: Click PrimeCRM in the left sidebar. The dashboard is the default landing page.
  • Command palette: Press +K (or Ctrl+K), type CRM or dashboard, and pick the entry.
  • From any CRM sub-page: Use the breadcrumb or back navigation to return to the dashboard from any contact, company, activity, or tracker page.

Things worth knowing

Summary stats - your CRM in four numbers

The dashboard shows four key totals at the top: Total Companies, Total Contacts, Activities This Week, and Pending Tasks. Each one is clickable - click a stat and PrimeTask takes you straight to the corresponding list page (Companies, Contacts, Activities, or CRM Tasks) so you can dig deeper without searching for the right page.

The stats reflect whichever CRM scope you have selected (see the next section). If you're viewing Shared CRM, the stats count everything in the Space. If you've switched to a project's Isolated CRM, the stats count only that project's data.

The View Mode Selector - Shared vs Isolated CRM

The dashboard has a mode switcher that lets you choose which CRM data the entire page reflects:

  • Shared CRM (Global) - the default. Shows contacts, companies, activities, and tasks from the Space's main shared CRM pool, visible across all projects.
  • Project CRM (Isolated) - switch to a specific project that has Isolated CRM enabled. The entire dashboard re-filters to show only that project's private CRM data - stats, recent lists, pending tasks, and activities all scope down to the selected project.

You can switch freely between modes. When you switch, everything on the page updates to match the new scope. Quick-create buttons also respect the mode - creating a contact while in a project's Isolated CRM scopes it to that project.

If no projects in your Space have Isolated CRM enabled, the selector only offers Shared CRM. To enable Isolated CRM for a project, see Shared vs Isolated CRM and CRM Settings.

Quick-create - add entities without leaving the dashboard

Four quick-create buttons let you add a Company, Contact, Activity, or CRM Task directly from the dashboard. Each one opens a creation form, and after saving, PrimeTask offers to take you straight to the new entity's detail page so you can continue adding information (phone numbers, linked projects, notes, etc.).

CRM keyboard shortcuts work from the dashboard too

The default shortcuts are ++C (New Company), ++N (New Contact), ++L (Log Activity), and ++T (New CRM Task). On Windows, replace Cmd with Ctrl. These are customisable from the Shortcuts tab in Automations Settings. For the complete list, see Keyboard Shortcuts.

LinkedIn Outreach and Sales Activity tools - quick access from one place

The dashboard provides quick navigation to both of PrimeTask's CRM tool families:

LinkedIn Outreach Tools - for top-of-funnel prospecting:

Sales Activity Trackers - for tracking deal progress:

Each tool is a click away from the dashboard. They all respect the current view mode - if you're in a project's Isolated CRM, clicking a tracker shows that project's data.

Operational signals - month-to-date performance

Below the main stats, the dashboard shows three month-to-date metrics: Active Companies (companies that aren't marked inactive), Activities This Month (total logged touchpoints since the 1st), and Overdue Tasks (pending CRM tasks past their due date). These are read-only summaries that help you spot trends without navigating away - if overdue tasks are climbing, it's time to visit CRM Tasks and prioritise.

Recent items and pending tasks

The dashboard shows three live snapshots of your CRM:

  • Pending Tasks - your incomplete CRM tasks, sorted by due date (most urgent first). Click any task to open it for editing. You can also create a new task directly from this section.
  • Recent Companies - your most recently updated companies. Click one to open its Company Details page, or click through to the full Companies list.
  • Recent Contacts - your most recently updated contacts. Click one to open its Contact Details page, or click through to the full Contacts list.

Activity timeline

At the bottom of the dashboard, a paginated timeline shows your recent activities - calls, emails, meetings, notes, demos, proposals, and LinkedIn touchpoints. Click any activity to view or edit it. You can also log a new activity directly from this section.

For the full set of activity types and deeper filtering, see Activities Overview.

The dashboard is an overview, not an editor

The dashboard intentionally keeps things high-level. It does not let you:

If you need more than a quick glance or a quick create, click through to the relevant page - every stat, every list item, and every tool card is a link.

Stays current with sync

If your Space syncs between devices (via File Sync or iCloud Sync), the dashboard updates automatically when new CRM data arrives from another device. You don't need to manually refresh - the stats, lists, and metrics update in place as changes come in.

Common questions

"I opened PrimeCRM but I don't see any data."

Check two things:

"How do I switch between my Space's global CRM and a specific project's private CRM?"

Use the View Mode Selector at the top of the dashboard. It lists Shared CRM (the global pool) and any projects that have Isolated CRM enabled. Click the one you want and the whole page re-filters to show that scope. See Shared vs Isolated CRM for how to enable Isolated CRM on a project.

"Can I customise what the dashboard shows?"

Not directly - the dashboard shows a fixed set of summaries, stats, and recent items. It's designed as a consistent overview. For custom views, use the individual list pages (Contacts, Companies, CRM Tasks, Activities), which offer filtering, sorting, and saved views.

"The stats say 'Activities This Week' - when does the week start?"

The week starts on the day you've configured in Settings → Date & Time. See Date & Time Settings.

"I created a contact from the dashboard but it's not showing up in another project."

That depends on your CRM mode. If you were in Shared CRM (Global) when you created the contact, it's visible across all projects. If you were in a project's Isolated CRM, the contact is scoped to that project and won't appear in Shared CRM or other projects. See Shared vs Isolated CRM.

"How do I get to the full Contacts or Companies page from here?"

Click the corresponding stat card at the top of the dashboard (e.g., click Total Contacts to jump to the Contacts list), or click "View All" from the Recent Contacts or Recent Companies section. Both paths take you to the full list page with filtering and sorting.
