App Header

The top bar in PrimeTask - search, quick notes, the active timer, Quick Add, theme, and the app menu, all in view at all times.

The App Header is the top bar visible from every page in PrimeTask. It brings the things you use most often into permanent reach - search, quick capture, the current task timer, a fast way to create new tasks or projects, theme switching, and the app menu.

Because the header sits above every view, you never have to navigate away to use any of it.

Quick note input

Type a note and press Enter to save. Notes captured here sync instantly with the Quick Notes dashboard widget and the PrimeFlow Quick Notes node. Each note has a convert to task action for promoting an idea into a real task.

Quick note capture from the header

The header quick note input is the fastest way to capture a thought, a link, or a reminder without leaving what you are doing. Anything you save here appears instantly in the Quick Notes dashboard widget and the PrimeFlow Quick Notes node - they are all views on the same list.

Convert a note to a task from any of those surfaces when it becomes actionable.

For the full Quick Notes behavior - editing, pagination, MCP access - see Quick Notes.

Capture first, triage later

Use the header note input to offload ideas the moment they appear. Turn the ones that matter into tasks from the Dashboard, the PrimeFlow node, or the header itself.

Active task timer in the header

Starting a timer on a task puts the elapsed time in the header. It stays visible as you work anywhere in PrimeTask, so it is always clear which task is on the clock. Click the indicator to jump back to the task.

See Task Time Tracking for every way to start, pause, and stop timers.

Lock the app from the header

When PIN protection is set up, use Lock Screen in the app menu to lock PrimeTask immediately. See Security Settings.

Things worth knowing

The sync action only appears when sync is enabled

The header sync button appears when Apple Calendar or Apple Reminders bidirectional sync is turned on for your Space. See Integrations Settings.

The header is available from every page

Search, quick notes, timer, Quick Add, theme, and the app menu are always reachable - from Tasks, Projects, Dashboard, Calendar, CRM, PrimeFlow, Settings, or anywhere else.
